The king sends Leonhard Euler, Europe’s leading mathematician, into the wilderness to find out what happened. To his horror, Euler does.

An incredibly dense, well-researched novel about the 18th century, where the light of reason is supposed to shine, but where dark forces shape the evolution of a land that will soon be known as Germany.
